Pidotimod is an immunomodulator, is suitable for patients with low immune function in the body and can be used to prevent acute infection, shorten the course of the disease, reduce the severity of the disease, as an adjuvant drug in the acute infection stage.
Pidotimod is a synthetic dipeptide with immunological modulatory activity on both the adaptive and innate immune responses. Pidotimod has also been shown to stimulate dendritic cells to release pro-inflammatory molecules such as MCP-1 and TNF-α cytokines, and to inhibit thymocyte apoptosis caused by a variety of apoptosis inducing molecules.
