Product Description

Moclobemide, whose chemical name is 4-chloro-N-[2-(4-morpholinoethyl)]benzamide, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C13H17ClN2O2. It is clinically an antidepressant of the monoamine oxidase inhibitor class. It works by reversibly inhibiting type A monoamine oxidase in the brain, thereby increasing the levels of norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin in the brain, exerting an antidepressant effect. It has the characteristics of fast action and rapid recovery of monoamine oxidase activity after discontinuation of the drug.
